Our First Social Report: A Starting Point, Not a Finish Line

When people think about a social report, they often imagine a document filled with numbers, tables and compliance requirements.

For us at Impacto, the 2025 Social Report means something different.

It tells the story of our first year as a Research Centre and, above all, reflects our commitment to sharing openly the direction we have chosen to follow.

Why publish a social report in our very first year?

Many organisations begin publishing a social report only when regulations require them to do so.

We chose to do it from day one.

We believe that transparency should not be seen as a legal obligation, but as a way to build trust with the people, organisations and institutions we work with.

Explaining how we use our resources, what activities we have developed and which vision guides our work means making our actions visible and accountable. It also allows our stakeholders to evaluate, over time, the consistency between what we say and what we actually do.

A Year of Building Foundations

For Impacto, 2025 was a year dedicated to building strong foundations.

We established a Research Centre working across applied research, European project design, capacity building and social impact evaluation, with the ambition of strengthening the innovation capacity of non-profit organisations, businesses and public administrations.

In just a few months, we developed specialised services, launched research activities, organised international networking events, built a growing European network of partners and began testing new approaches to organisational capacity building and project support.

More important than the number of activities we carried out is the coherence with which they contributed to the ecosystem we set out to build.

Beyond the Numbers

Naturally, the Social Report includes financial information, indicators and measurable results.

But we also wanted it to explain how we work.

Inside the report, you will find our approach to research, the role of the Impacto Network, the philosophy behind our services, our commitment to capacity building and knowledge dissemination, and the partnerships we have developed throughout this first year.

For us, the value of an organisation is measured not only by the projects it delivers, but also by the quality of the relationships it creates and by its ability to generate knowledge and competencies that remain over time.

A Commitment to the Future

This first Social Report is not a milestone.

It is the starting point from which we will measure our growth in the years ahead.

Each new edition will allow us to compare the objectives we set with the results we achieve, continuously improving both the quality of our reporting and our ability to assess our social impact.

It is an exercise in accountability, but also a tool for learning and continuous improvement.
